About Me
Hello JoeJoe members,
My name is Derek Armstrong, also now known as TekCircuit. I'm a seventeen year old male living in the small city of Marietta, Ohio. I am a senior in high school, but definitely still learning.
I have been highly interested in technology for eleven years, and plan to stay in the field.
When I was six years old, my mother took me to the final class in a course she was taking on computers (We had just recieved our first machine, an old IBM with an Intel 486 CPU, 16MB RAM). In this final class, the student (and any accompanying guests, as was in my case) would learn to hook up the actual system. Since that moment, I have known what I want to do in life. I love toying and messing with computers, and as a technician, I can do just that.
Over the past five years, I have gone on several business ventures, attempting to apply my compounded knowledge. All have ended fruitlessly, except for the most recent one. In late 2008, a couple friends and I founded Circuit Computing, an organization meant to revolutionize the very idea of computing. We are currently working on several ongoing projects, and hope to reveal them soon.
I have worked, albeit half-heartedly, on many projects related to software customization before now. These projects included wallpapers, WindowBlinds skins, etc.
I am still learning as a designer. I love to get my creative juices going. I have worked extensively in Photoshop, and currently use Photoshop CS4. I have designed webpages, print advertisements, and volunteered for Franklin Signs over a period of two years.
