Installing Gadgets:
Use 7zip archiver to uncompress the .Gadget files to a sub directory then copy that folder to the gadgets folder in "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets" and add .Gadget to the end of folder name.

Yep... My .inf installer uses %16422% as the DestinationDir, its specifically for Multi Language suport

16422 = Program Files

I think it can... I have a RTM Sidebar addon that I can make into a installer like I did this one but the systray icon wont show up... Im waiting for the next VAIO build to release them

This is a brilliant effort buddy!
Today I tried it and all went smoothly, gr8 effort

But Weather gadget is still not working for me, it never worked for me

And as u said about the RTM sidebar addon, I always wanted to remove that system tray icon of sidebar, can u tell me the way or upload the addon?

No need, you can just overwrite the 5744 sidebar.exe and the 2 DLLs in the sidebar folder with the 6000 ones and it will have exactly the same effect.

What I meant is that VAIO has a bug it wont show the 6000 RTM sidebar's systray icon, which I hate because you have to do a CTRL+ALT+DEL to close/shut down the sidebar (this will be fixed in the next version of VAIO)

The weather gad works fine for me (as you can see in the screen shot), try Re-Registering wlsrvc.dll, just drag and drop into the regsvr32 executable in the Windows Sidebar folder

I removed the gadgets folder to save space also I included some Skin Patches for easy applying (only for use with XP RTM sidebar )

BTW Dont forget to Patch and Run Vista executable

Only the installer can be installed on any lang (Not yet confirmed), I dont know if the sidebar will work or not... But INF installers like Driver installers usually have multi language support

lol, thats completely funny & strange!
Finally I got the Weather gadget working!!!

I was getting "Service not available" error, and when I undocked the gadget to desktop, it showed "Service not available in your region". After reading an Idea came to my mind and I changed the location in my windows from India to United States, and VOILLA it started working............

I have it working on spanish system.. i only get sidebar start crash sometimes (because the system language I think) but work.. and on my english Media Center work nice..
I can't try on Jap XP because that i dont have the SP2-Jap version and i dont want to download it lOl..
