Well, 1 hour ago, I loged in into one of my hotmail account and I saw that the look has changed, in fact, I got a message that sayed me (did'nt really read it, was sure it was a stupid message popup from another site so I closed it) thing like : Would you like to switch to the new version of Windows Live hotmail. Anyway, I logged on all of my other accounts but nothing has changed.
Here is a screenshot

For now, I can see that there are new themes like in WLM Messenger 9.0.

Speed: ~2 seconds after hitting Enter button. My connection is 512 kbps so its good. Old version was taking 5-9 seconds to load

Themes (note; my french to english translation could be wrong):

Bamboo;
Cherry;
Arabesque;
Circular;
Peas;
Floral;
Victorian;

The configuration of the old version of WL Hotmail will be kept exactly as you leaved it.

I'm curious to know if somebody other than me got it. I asked 5 of my friends and they dont. What do you all think about it?

Edit: Taking screenshots of themes
Edit 2: Screenshots uploaded, searching for new things
Edit 3: One of my friend just got it. Its coming....
Edit 4: I took again the screenshots because Neological was a little suspicious about them (its not a problem because I could have
though the same thing) so now the address bar is not blurred the blurred and the one at the bottom is same address that on address bar

Nothing yet in United Kingdom / ie.
I'm not sure about this one, I think the current theme looks decent; But I'll have to play with it before I can properly comment on it.

Thank you MC mac.

It is real... anyway I just though it that the address was specific to user so it is something that should'nt be showed to everyone.
Proof (not the mail view but the first page you get after signing in): Attached File  Windows_Live_Hotmail_3_proof.jpg (651.26K)
Number of downloads: 66

Edit: Took new screenshots of them without blurred address bar and at the bottom, its exactly the same as on the address bar
Edit 2: Even if the account login ID is shown, it changes everytime you login so it should'nt be a problem

Damn, that sure does look good. I just checked my 3 live ID's (Denmark), but none of them have gotten an upgrade yet. I do have the new calendar though, it's pretty good aswell.

For those in doubt, have a look at http://www.windowsli.../da/default.htm

QUOTE (mess.be - dwergs says:)
Microsoft has gradually started rolling out the Windows Live Hotmail Wave 3 update but at some point in October every Hotmail user will have access to the new version. Part of the update are a new, clean look with themes support (not unlike the Windows Live Messenger Scenes in 9.0), a more convenient contact picker and overall faster performance.

Back in August there was some talk of bringing back WebMessenger to Hotmail, but from what we\'ve seen there\'s currently only the presence of Messenger Display Pictures at (see screenshot). The new About page promises more advanced Messenger integration starting early 2009:

\"IM through Hotmail. See if your Messenger contacts are online and say \"Hi!\"

Saw that yesterday (was'nt loading before... dont know why). Its pretty cool but I would liked to have something more like Yahoo! Messenger for web because its like more simple. Anyway, hope it will be released soon because I hate to have only one of my mail boxes looking like that. Anyway, I think they have maked a pretty good job at Microsoft with this new Hotmail version. big_smile.png

Seems like it'll take a good month still if you're in the last batch of conversions. Meh. Still no dice on my account either.

It is normal because the ID that appear on the address change everytime you connect into (because without that, any people who see my ID in the address could enter on my mail account)

Anyway, they should make other themes or variations of them because I like the default one but I would like to have it in purple or another color.
