I was bored. unhappy.png

Simple Copy+Paste pad for quick notes etc.

Doesn't include saving, opening, font changing etc. If demand is high to include such things I will.

Hit CTRL+B for Black text.
Hit CTRL+W for White text.

This looks great man! Nice work, I'm usually always in need of a quick place to store things, eg, backing up code. Which i hardly save, just have as a temporary store.
This looks as it could be useful when i'm on Vista. Great work!

This looks really good. Give it a save feature, and I won't use regular notepad anymore.
Those who say there is no absolute truth are absolutely sure about that.

I don't know. He hasn't said anything about that kind of stuff. Even though I've ask a lot. unhappy.png

If not I'll remake it for WinXP when Vystal4 comes out.

Looks absolutely stunning!

I'd love a save and open feature, that would make the program near-perfect black_heart.png

It would be nice to see this with a save, and an open feature, I would overwrite notepad in a heartbeat, but you should consider adding more do the DWM API, like mabye the fog that appears behind the text, that can be done in realtime, as seen in Windows Media Player, and if you studied into the code a bit, I'm sure you could come up with something

EDIT:

That code struck me as Unreal code.

Am I correct?

DWM doesn't draw the text glow. In any other part of Windows it uses an image. Windows Media Player too uses an image.

I added the glow before I released it. It caused way to much lag. Maybe now that WPF has updated it'll work better. I'm not sure though.

Yeah, I also noticed the lag, but with any other app that has glass in it, I don't see the lag.

Why is this?

Are you hooking into the DWM to draw? or did you write the DWM api, hooking will cause more lag than building it in

I could provide a few links to help, but I don't know how you have coded this.

It lags because of the amount of glass.

I know the amount of glass is what "causes" it, but I've used other pure glass applications that I can get bigger than your Glass-Notes, and it's Lag-Less.

That can only lead me to believe that the method you're using to make it glass is faulty, or bulky.

I can't find it anymore *shame on me*

Eh. I might make a new version from scratch with open/save etc. It'll be after Longhorn Fusion releases though.
