Today I got my hands on Microsoft Office 2011 for mac, which is currently in BETA. I managed to take a few screenshots off whats new.

I must say I am quite impressed with it already.
One of the biggest things you will notice is entourage is now completely gone and replaced by outlook. Microsoft messenger now sports a new interface too which was very much needed in my opinion. But anyways less of the gibbering and more of the goodies:
Activation:
Communicator:
Remote Desktop:
Excel:

I took quite a few screen shots, if you want to see more including outlook, Microsoft messenger and more you'll need to download them from

I suppose Messenger still doesn't have groups support?
Guess I'll have to stick to VMWare for that.
Otherwise, looking nice!

Oh, and I think you might have gotten a few of your links screwed up.
Under Activation, it has a Remote Desktop screen, then it's got another one under Excel.

Thanks for the screenshots. I'm glad Microsoft did rework the interface since Office 2008 MAC doesn't fit the style.
Still, I think Microsoft should put more efforts in Windows Live Messenger Mac. This interface just looks ugly (not integrated, this pop-up window for events looks like it's been made by a kid) compared to Adium or even the Alpha 1 (build 107) of Trillian Astra.

Office for Mac always has been, and always will be one year behind Office for Windows. This 2011 is the equivalent of 2010, 2008 the equivalent of 2007, and so on back til 98 being the equivalent of 97.

If im honest i prefer 2010 for windows, more easily navigated, but im not sure if thats because im used to office for windows. Although there are things like the way outlook groups emails like conversations out look does look very professional in my opinion.
